
Yesterday was Thursday, which technically made it Thanksgiving, even though it was Wednesday in America. This is what I had for lunch yesterday, served I am sure without any kind of intended significance: baked chicken (with caraway seeds and cayenne pepper: delicious) and potatoes (with beef—first time having beef!). This is as close to turkey and mashed potatoes as one could probably find in China, so it was like Thanksgiving after all. Except the Lions weren’t losing . . .
